Retrospective 1

Jack has the advantage of being first but is so well stocked I'm a little careful of what I send... here's the first rug in shades of blue/teal and white which has been used continuously since they found how light yet warm it was.... and how it would wash in the machine!
It is a fairly simple wave pattern.. though not as simple as the pink one. the manner of combining the stripes can add a wide range of effects... as can the number of colours and how the border is done... so crochet does not have to look girly at all as you can see in the second rug sent.

The second one is more for throwing on the floor for lying and kicking on though it's great for snuggling and is made of the softest fibre... I've steered away from using wool for a couple of reasons.... in Adelaide the temperature while variable is not so much of a problem as everything is really well airconditioned... and Jack's father is allergic to wool so rather than spending a lot of time on something that might prove unusable I thought it better to just stay away from wool altogether. I thought the second rug could be used on a bed later so it is a bigger rug in colours which look great together and not too babyish....

Now the hat is super cute... We might start making them to sell... I've some lovely slightly fluffy white fabric which could have pink or blue inners for the ears...
