Huge socks

FINALLY the socks are finished... I usually like knitting socks but these had the twin disadvantage of not only being a wool combination of colours which I found awful ... but they were for my 16 year old nephew who has 30 cm feet! These have to be the biggest socks I've ever knitted.
The blue/white, dark blue/white bits were pretty neat but the creamy white and yellow had random flecks of another colour and really looked rather grubby.. this wool was the Turkish version of variegated sock wool, not the German one.
At some point I need to make a pair for his brother.. who fortunately chose a white/grey/through to black combination.
Now onto the next blanket/rug. Though I do still need to transfer the pictures and write about the purple/green blanket which is already in use.
