Baby Bootee Pattern Trial

So Toni arrived at work with photos of some bootees which she had seen at a baby shower and fallen in love with... was it possible to work out the pattern (or something like it).
As you may have realised I love a challenge (and of course I'm not competitive at all!)  
So the trial began... 
Starting with a 4 chain circle then using double trebles (UK) to make a rosette.



As the pictures show the trial baby boot continued through to the finished product... It was made in Patons 3ply with a 3.00mm hook.
