Alas the eggplant only yielded one fruit (is it a fruit or a vegetable?)
But what a beauty that one turned out to be... glossy, huge, the most glorious shade... and once turned into the lovely dinner on the right we agreed it tasted better than anything brought home from the shops.
Grilled aubergine circles stacked with grilled potato/cheese mash cakes and topped with two lamb mince skewers and a little fine fried noodles.
The result not only looked great it tasted fantastic... and was extremely filling... I had to run for the camera to keep a record of the meal... All hail the chef (who wasn't me!)
